Richmondshire

Richmondshire covers a large northern area of the Yorkshire Dales, the area is steeped in history .

Richmond was founded by the Normans in 1071 and the town was dominated by the castle and other buildings of the medieval period.

Georgian house’s were built around the market place, and many other elegant fine buildings were constructed to develop the area.

As these homes tended to be larger in size, and symmetrically placed doors and windows often were the norm, the more modern families required a more open plan type living space which required some of the internal walls to be removed to accommodate this.

Through opening up the spaces and installing either aluminium or timber bi-folding and sliding doors gives you the ability to make an already fabulous space into a space which has the wow factor.
